I get a short bout of allergies at the same times every year (oct. and march.). Sometimes it starts with a really uncomfortable sore throat, other times it is just a bit scratchy. Then I will either get a stuffed up nose, or sometimes its runny and i sneeze alot. Is this normal and what causes it?

For about 10 days, I will experience:

Post-nasal Drip (all day)
Sore Throat (a few days before it leaves)
Runny/ Clogged Nose (most of the time)

But then it will just go away ALMOST completly for about 2 weeks. Then it’ll come back. It came and went 3 times in a row. I have a severe allergy to dust, but I’m around it the whole time. I have slight allergies to dogs and maple but I’m around those for the same amount of time for the past few months. I take Claritin D, Zyrtec, and a Neti Pot. They help with the runny/clogged nose, but not with the nasal drip or sore throat. Why do they come and go?

I started getting allergy shots a couple months ago and I just switched to a new vial. The next day I started having more sinus drainage, a sore throat, and itchy eyes. Could this be caused by the allergy shot?

My sister lives in San Antonio, and the allergy count is really high. She has stuffy nose, red eyes, sore throat, and no fever. Is it safe to assume that she just has allergies, or is it a cold?

I have had a stuffy nose since more than a year. Thought it was a mild form of cold but its been too long now. No sore throat, no running nose, nothing else at all that resembles a cold. My sinuses seem to be affected a bit too. Every single day, I wake up feeling stuffy and a bit tired. I can’t breathe properly & if I get even a little bit tired, I tend to snore now which has become very embarrassing. If this an allergy symptom, are there any over-the-counter medicines to counter this. I would really like to breathe better & definitely not snore. Please advise

i live in PA and all the buds are coming out now, i usually have allergies at this time of year, but i have a REALLY sore throat and ears plus headache. Maybe i should take something besides Allegra for allergies.
